Shalford Village Hall 100 Years Celebration – Friday 31st October 2025

We were delighted to host a fun evening with a quiz which involved mostly questions about Shalford and the surrounding areas.

Our invited VIPs were Sanjee, Delani, Phil and Anna for all their help with the Car Park Project.

Andrew, our Chair welcomed everyone, introduced the committee and detailed a long list of projects achieved and those on the future list.
Kevin was the very tough quizmaster with Mel as the sidekick being more lenient.

Jokers were played to double up scores (but double zero is still zero!!!)

A wonderful raffle with amazing prizes all donated by committee members and some of our local clubs.

Sally as part of Shalford Local History Association had also set up a display of all things Village Hall over the last 100 years.

After some totalling up the winners emerged as The Misfits; obviously an intelligent bunch! They were presented with a trophy and a bag of Halloween goodies.

Thank you to all the committee, friends, family and villagers for all their help setting up, decorating and tidying away.

We enjoyed it so much we hope to do another event next year. We could only invite a certain amount of people due to the hall maximum capacity, so If you weren’t on the invite list this time, apologies and we’ll try and include you next time.
